Sorry, peanut butter and banana oatmeal, you've been replaced. This is my absolute favorite oatmeal, all year round. The week that I open the can of pumpkin purée, I'm in heaven each morning I make this. It literally gets me out of bed!
ingredients
-1/2 cup rolled oats
-1/2 cup milk
-1 banana, mashed
-1 tablespoon almond or peanut butter
-1 teaspoon flaxseed (optional)
-1/4 cup canned pumpkin purée
-sprinkle or two of cinnamon
directions:
1. Cook oats in microwave according to package (I use quick 1-minute oats so it's easier).
2. Mix mashed banana and pumpkin nto cooked oats along with the tablespoon of nut butter on top.
3. Microwave about 30 seconds more until nut butter melts.
4. Stir, sprinkle cinnamon and enjoy!
Note: I love making this as overnight oats for quick mornings before school. Mix all ingredients and place in fridge overnight. No cooking required! (Besides melting the nut butter)
