These little "sandwiches" are a great after school snack! An alternative to just apple slices with peanut butter.
ingredients:
-1 medium apple
-2 tablespoons peanut butter or other nut butter (I like almond butter)
-1/4 cup granola
-cinnamon
optional add-ins:
-honey
-raisins
directions
1. Slice apple into thin rings. I have trouble getting the core out first, so I just cut the seeds out later.
2. Cut out seeds or hard core.
3. Pair rings! I always end up with two big ones.
4. Spread nut butter on one ring, sprinkle with granola and cinnamon and top with another ring.
